In addition, you will complete program specifications and system documentation and coordinate the timely completion of requests; and provide technical assistance to lower-level professional staff.

Essential Functions
- Under general direction, serves as an Application Developer for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), supporting the Department of Human Services (DHS) performing difficult and specialized professional applications programming.
- Develops logic to produce specific tasks using the various IES (Integrated Eligibility Systems) Eligibility Support Unit DB2 data structures Completes program specifications and system documentation.
- Conducts comprehensive studies and analysis of related user needs to determine technical needs based on departmental policy of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Medical Eligibility Systems.
- Provides technical assistance to lower-level professional staff on new or revised systems.
- Attends formal and informal training to develop the knowledge and technical computer skills required.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerate above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
- Requires one (1) year of professional experience in Application Services or related Information Technology field.
Preferred Qualifications
- One (1) year of professional experience refining and improving applications utilizing Web Based platforms, midrange platforms, operating systems, Windows Operating Systems, JAVA, XML, Informatica, SQL Server, and DB2.
- One (1) year of professional experience with relational database design, object-oriented analysis, design and query analysis and optimization.
- One (1) year of professional experience developing code with Elixir and utilization of Informatica products.
- One (1) year of professional experience conducting comprehensive studies and analysis of related user needs utilizing TANF, SNAP, and Medical Eligibility Systems.
- Developed verbal and written communication skills to present technical information to others with clarity and precision.
- Ability to analyze data logically and exercise sound judgement in defining and evaluating problems of an operational or procedural nature.
- Ability to gain and maintain effective working relationships with associates, vendors, clients, and others.
