Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and implement robust backend infrastructures and AI pipelines, advancing experimental prototypes to production-ready systems
  • Design and build scalable and secure APIs and microservices to handle rapid user growth
  • Collaborate effectively with AI researchers, frontend developers, and product managers to integrate SOTA AI models and pipelines into operational workflows
  • Ensure comprehensive system reliability, security, and performance throughout platform scaling
  • Produce high-quality, maintainable, and rigorously tested code, contributing to the overarching architectural vision.
  • Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the establishment of best-in-class engineering practices.

Key Skill Sets

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience in architecting, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems, bridging the gap between research prototypes and robust production deployment.
  • Proficient in Python and familiar with modern backend frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, etc)
  • Strong understanding of security best practices, data privacy, and scaling distributed systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
     

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in healthcare, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries
  • Experience with AI/ML libraries (PyTorch, LangChain) and AI Agents (Langraph/Crawl.ai)
  • Familiarity with deploying and monitoring cloud-native applications (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Contributions to open-source software or published research in relevant areas
  • Start-up experience or demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
     

The compensation for this full-time position is between 120k - 250k including bonus. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
