The Green Bear Project needs YOU!

The Green Bear Project is sponsored by Southeast Missouri Network Against Sexual Violence (SEMO-NASV). The Green Bear Project travels to schools throughout southeast Missouri teaching abuse prevention classes to prekindergarten through 12th graders, free of charge. Our educators also provide free classes to mandated reporters and concerned citizens. 

We are looking for:

  • Part-time Prevention Specialist who have some experience in education, social work, marketing, or the prevention education field*
    • Must be available to work full days part-time (i.e. Mondays and Thursdays, 8am-5pm), hours to be discussed at interview
  • Passion for educating children & adults, while preventing child abuse in your community
  • Strong communication, presentation, organization, computer, and multi-tasking skills
  • Team player that enjoys a collaborative environment
  • Maintains professional relationships with community partners
  • High ethical standards with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to travel throughout our eight county service region as needed (mileage reimbursement available)
  • Special Skills Considered: Puppet and voice work

*preference given to candidates with Bachelor's Degree.
