Electromechanical Engineer
Position Summary:
The Electromechanical Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all the equipment within our production lines and operations department. This role requires expertise in mechanical systems, electrical components, and control systems to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime. The engineer will work closely with the Production Team and report to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve machine issues to maximize production and quality while reducing downtime.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Collaborate with OEM’s technical support team.
- Work closely with the Production Team to promptly identify and resolve equipment concerns as well as provide machine training.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company SOPs and GMPs.
- Assist with the planning, purchasing, and installation of new or upgraded machinery and parts.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or on-call shifts as needed.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- High attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with experience working with pneumatics.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, and control panels.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of boilers, air compressors, forklifts, freezer systems, and HVAC systems is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
