Mechanical Engineer

EAI is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and maintain mechanical systems and components. Candidates with varying levels of experience are encouraged to apply, especially those who demonstrate a strong foundation in engineering principles and the ability to contribute both independently and within a team.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Completion of Drawings, Bill of Materials, Routings, and other processes necessary for the manufacturing of all parts and systems.

Completion of design and documentation of new and/or custom equipment.

Involvement in the continuous improvement efforts of operations.

Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and products.

Conduct engineering analysis and simulations using CAD and other software tools.

Create detailed technical drawings and specifications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation of mechanical components and systems.

Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and performance standards.

Support project planning, budgeting, and documentation.

Additional duties and roles as needed. 

 

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.

2 - 7 years of experience; recent graduates will also be considered.

Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo).

Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.

Experience designing bulk material handling systems is a plus.

Background in food grade or sanitary design is also beneficial. 

Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

This position will be based in our Welcome, MN location, with the opportunity for hybrid work after a training period, as approved by management. Regular on-site presence in Welcome will be required.

 

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year based on experience.
