Job Summary:
The position is responsible for administering the operations and personnel of the clinical division within the department. This includes direct supervision of four full-time counselors, one full-time case manager, as well as interns and practicum students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support clinical staff, including hiring recommendations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Oversee the training and supervision of interns and practicum students.
- Participates in the training of agency staff.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of required documentation, including but not limited to, case notes, treatment plans, CANS, clinical recommendations, and advocacy letters.
- Manages the distribution of counselor clinical case load including shelter placed youth and community-based services.
- Review client referrals from DCS, Probation, Safe Place, and parents/guardians for service appropriateness and placement for agency services. Meets with Shelter residents and family members to resolve conflicts and provide counseling, to correct and/or understand their behavior.
- Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation to respond to emergencies, including responding to calls, assessing situation and needs of site visitors, providing initial counseling, and taking action as situation demands.
- Requires some work on evenings and weekends.
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling.
- Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- At least one (1) year of program administration experience.
- Current licensure as a LCSW is required.
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
