The Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) is seeking applicants for multiple General Engineering positions. These positions are open to all engineering disciplines but there is specific interest in the following specialties: Fire Protection, Criticality Safety, Software Quality Assurance, Capital Project Safety Design, and Seismic/Earthquake.

This position is within the DNFSB, Office of the Technical Director. As an independent agency in the Executive Branch, the DNFSB oversees nuclear safety across the Department of Energy's (DOE) nuclear weapons complex.
Conditions of Employment:

- Must be able to obtain a Q level security clearance.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering. Acceptable disciplines include:
- Engineering Fields: Civil, Structural, Fire Protection, Reliability, Systems, Industrial, Mechanical, Nuclear, Electrical, Chemical, and other related engineering majors.
- Mathematics and Science Fields: Seismology, Materials Science, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and other related majors.
OR
Combination of education and experience -- college-level education, training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.
