Position Overview
The University School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Mathematics Instructor to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be certified in Secondary Mathematics and prepared to teach Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, and Business Math to high school students. This role requires a teacher who can bring creativity, structure, and clarity to the classroom while supporting students with diverse learning styles and academic needs.
Responsibilities
Teach assigned math courses (Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Business Math) using engaging and effective instructional practices.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of a small and diverse student body.
Provide clear expectations, meaningful feedback, and ongoing support to students.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support academic and social-emotional growth.
Contribute to the school community through participation in faculty meetings, enrichment programs, and student support initiatives.
Qualifications
Pennsylvania Certification in Secondary Mathematics (required).
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience teaching high school math, including Algebra and Geometry.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
