Advanced Development Mechanical Engineer, Door Systems
Description:
- Support the development of products within the Closures Advanced Development Engineering team.
- Interface with suppliers, designers, and team engineers to evaluate and design products with emergent door system technologies.
- Work with the lab to prototype and test product concepts against system requirements.
- Provide support to the organization to market and sell our product developments.
- Promote Inteva’s image as a technology leader within the industry.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills.
- Capable of designing in NX or Catia
- Strong interpersonal skills capable of working across functional and product teams.
- Capable of leading key intiatives with little direction.
- Creative, outside the box thinker, independent, and self-motivated.
- Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Travel is required both domestically and internationally to support the business, normally about 5% - 10% during deployments, although this is an estimation and may increase or decrease depending on the needs of the business
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience in Automotive product design (includes Co-op)
- Experience with electromechanical systems.
- Technical know how.
- Good problem solver.
- Internships or experience within the Auto industry.
