Associate Scientist/Engineer
We are seeking entry to mid-level engineers with hands-on expertise in 4G/5G Radio Access Network (RAN) technologies. This role focuses on the design, development, implementation, and testing of innovative solutions in spectrum management, radio access, and network optimization.
Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- Assist in the design and prototyping of 5G and spectrum sharing systems under senior guidance.
- Conduct literature reviews and technical benchmarking of emerging wireless technologies.
- Support simulation and modeling of RF environments and spectrum usage scenarios.
- Contribute technical documentation and research reports.
- Set up and execute lab and field tests for 5G components and spectrum sharing protocols.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret test date to identify performance trends and anomalies.
- Help develop automated test scripts and procedures for repeatable validation.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment (e.g., 5G base stations, user equipment, spectrum analyzers).
- Write and maintain code for spectrum control algorithms, and test automation.
- Contribute to software tools for spectrum monitoring and dynamic allocation.
- Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage codebase and collaborate with team.
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for documentation and testing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RF, AI/ML experts, software, and systems engineers.
Educational and Other Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. Equivalent professional experience in telecommunications may be considered.
- 0-3 years of relevant industry experience in telecommunications, wireless systems, or related domains.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
