PRN Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated PRN Registered Nurse to join our rapidly growing, independent Ambulatory Surgery Center Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care in a fast-paced environment, and possess a background in the peri-operative setting. Our available hours are on surgery days between Monday and Thursday.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the peri-operative setting of an ASC
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and record patient vital signs
- Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures in a surgical setting
- Educate patients and their families during their care in the surgical setting

Experience
Required Skills:
- RN experience in pre-op, operating room (OR), or PACU preferred, but will train the right candidate

- Able to multitask in a very fast-paced environment

- BLS & ACLS preferred.  

- PALS Certification (or willingness to get PALS Certification) is strongly desired.

Qualifications
- RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification preferred
- Experience in Pre-op and PACU
- Medication administration proficiency
- IV insertion
- Ability to assess patient and provide appropriate care as directed
- Knowledge of Ophthalmic surgical procedures a plus

- Knowledge of Dental surgical procedures a plus

- Knowledge of Pain Management procedures a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to assist anesthesia as needed
