Entry-Level OSP Fielder
About the Role:
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Outside Plant (OSP) fielding team. As an Entry-Level OSP Fielder, you will support the planning and design of fiber optic and telecommunications infrastructure by collecting, verifying, and documenting field data. This role is an excellent opportunity for those interested in starting a career in the telecom and utility engineering industry.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform field data collection of utility poles, conduits, handholes, and other OSP facilities.
· Document measurements, pole information, clearances, and right-of-way details using mobile applications or survey tools.
· Take clear and detailed photographs of poles, attachments, and surrounding infrastructure.
· Verify and update as-built conditions to ensure accuracy of engineering designs.
· Work closely with project managers and engineers, and permitting teams to communicate field conditions.
· Follow safety protocols while working outdoors and around utility infrastructure.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree a plus).
· Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record field information.
· Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Ability to walk, stand, and carry equipment for extended periods.
· Basic computer and mobile application skills (experience with GIS, GPS, or CAD tools is a plus but not required).
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 80% of the time.
· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
