Part-Time Math Tutor – San Diego (In-Person)

Do you enjoy math and working with kids? We’re looking for enthusiastic tutors to join our team at a growing math learning center in Torrey Highland. 

This role is perfect for college students, recent grads, or anyone who is strong in math and enjoys teaching in a fun, supportive environment. Hours are part-time and flexible, generally between 2:30–6:30 pm on weekdays and Saturday mornings/afternoons (9:00 am–3:00 pm). You can expect 10–30 hours per week, depending on your availability.

What You’ll Do

Work with students ages 5–12 in small groups (1–3 students)

Guide them through problem-solving activities and workbook practice

Encourage curiosity, persistence, and confidence in learning

Give feedback on progress and support each child’s growth

What We’re Looking For

Solid math skills (comfortable with elementary/middle school topics)

Strong English communication skills

Positive, reliable, and patient with children

Quick to learn and adapt to our teaching approach

Previous tutoring experience is helpful but not required—we provide full training
