Part-time Certified Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled part-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in various medical settings including Orthopedics and Spine. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Computer skills especially with EMR is a must. Prior medical assistant experience is a plus. Prior orthopedic or spine experience is a plus. Hourly rate. Non-corporate, friendly work environment!

**This job requires at least 2 day of the week travel to our Saint Louis Midtown clinic**

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment.

Experience

Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required.
Previous experience in an outpatient setting, particularly in Orthopedics or Spine, is preferred.
Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures and protocols is advantageous.
Proficient understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology knowledge is essential.
