Production Planner Account Coordinator

This Production Planner/Account Coordinator roll plays a crucial role in planning and executing of customer orders while supporting both the sales and production teams. This position combines the responsibilities of managing customer orders within a manufacturing environment and acts as a bridge between sales, customer service and the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer orders by planning and scheduling production to ensure timely delivery
  • Meet customer needs while optimizing production efficiency
  • Communicate updates to both customers and internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment
  • Receive and process customer orders, verifying specifications and ensuring accurate entry into the system
  • Communicate directly with customers regarding order status, potential delays, changes and modifications
  • Analyze sales forecasts and customer demand to create production schedules that align with delivery deadlines
  • Coordinate with manufacturing team to ensure resource availability to meet production targets and monitor production progress to identify potential bottlenecks
  • Manage raw material inventory and finished goods inventory to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs

Qualifications and Required Education and Skills

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning principles
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and data analysis to track orders, inventory and production metrics
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing environment with customer service/contact experience
