Production Planner Account Coordinator
This Production Planner/Account Coordinator roll plays a crucial role in planning and executing of customer orders while supporting both the sales and production teams. This position combines the responsibilities of managing customer orders within a manufacturing environment and acts as a bridge between sales, customer service and the manufacturing floor.
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer orders by planning and scheduling production to ensure timely delivery
- Meet customer needs while optimizing production efficiency
- Communicate updates to both customers and internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment
- Receive and process customer orders, verifying specifications and ensuring accurate entry into the system
- Communicate directly with customers regarding order status, potential delays, changes and modifications
- Analyze sales forecasts and customer demand to create production schedules that align with delivery deadlines
- Coordinate with manufacturing team to ensure resource availability to meet production targets and monitor production progress to identify potential bottlenecks
- Manage raw material inventory and finished goods inventory to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs
Qualifications and Required Education and Skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning principles
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints effectively
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and data analysis to track orders, inventory and production metrics
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team environment
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing environment with customer service/contact experience
