Early Education Childhood Teacher

The Children’s Garden of St. John’s Lutheran Church is currently seeking applicants for full-time teaching positions in our Early Childhood Development Center.  Duties include, but are not limited to, supervision, classroom management, creating lesson plans, and completing observations, while following the PA learning standards. We are a non-profit, Christian based, STAR 4 facility operating in Shiremanstown, Pennsylvania since 1992.  Our Center practices and cultivates a culture of gratitude among our staff members.  We offer health benefits, along with competitive salaries ranging from $15 - $19 depending on level of education and experience.  Additionally, staff have the option to participate in our retirement program as well as financial support for continuing education.  All staff are given five paid days of time off during the yearly holiday break.  

We are particularly interested in applicants who have 2,500 hours of experience in a childcare setting, hold a CDA or higher educational degree, or in the process of obtaining a degree.  Successful applicants should have a desire to learn and grow in an Early Childhood Development setting.  Successful applicants will be required to submit and obtain the following clearances:  Pa State Police, Child Abuse, FBI Fingerprint, NSOR as well as a recent health assessment at time of the interview.  We are an equal opportunity employer.
