Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and maintain quality standards.
  • Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support production needs.
  • Analyze workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout for maximum efficiency.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability of new products.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for processes, work instructions, and quality control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in equipment or appliance production.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solidworks software and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Ability to react to manufacturing needs or modify project processes as they arise.
  • Ability to manage several projects at different stages of development.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the commercial cooking or foodservice equipment industry.
  • Knowledge of welding, sheet metal fabrication, metal finishing processes and assembly processes.
  • Familiarity with automation and robotics in manufacturing.
  • Tool and Die knowledge.
