Applications Engineer
Job Title: Applications Engineer – Entry Level
Position Overview
Applications Engineering for custom automation equipment. This role includes understanding customer requests and products for development of machinery concepts, budgets, and proposals. Applications engineers work with our internal execution teams, sales positions, and directly with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Review of customer technical specifications to understand project requirements and applicable standards.
- Development of machine concepts, including 3D models, cycle time charts, and flow charts.
- Development of budgets for concepted machines including vendor quotes, previous machine audits, and labor estimates developed with internal team.
- Development of proposals which clearly define included scope, proposed solution benefits, machine rate, machine acceptance criteria, and assumptions and exceptions related to customer provided documentation.
- Presentation of proposals and solutions to customers in person or online review meetings with sales account manager support.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering, or related field or equivalent
- Competent in Word, Excel, and 3D modeling software
