School Psychometrist
Job Objectives: Administers, scores, and interprets intelligence, aptitude, achievement, and other psychological tests to provide test information to teachers, counselors, students, or other specified entitled party.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Gives paper and pencil tests or utilizes testing equipment, such as picture tests and dexterity boards, under standard conditions.
- Times tests and records results.
- Interprets test results in light of standard norms, and limitations of test in terms of validity and reliability.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Assist in the identification and initial referral of disabled children. Perform psycho-educational assessment.
- Participate in comprehensive staffing. Coordinate the information flow from the department to other appropriate service providers.
- Prepare comprehensive psycho-educational reports.
- Make recommendations for intervention and act as an IEP team member. Attend categorical eligibility which involves presentation of evaluation results.
- Maintain confidential records. Provide documentation of progress and prepare evaluations.
- Provide formal/informal in-service to administrators, parents, and teachers.
- Travel to the various sites to provide services.
- Attend necessary workshops and continuing education to maintain certification.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Executive Director of Special Services.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Hold or be able to obtain a valid Oklahoma School Psychometrist Certificate
- At least 2 years of directly related experience is preferred.
