Vocational Specialist – ACT Team

Western Mental Health Center is looking for a motivated Vocational Specialist to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. This community based position focuses on helping adults with serious mental health conditions reach their employment goals and succeed in meaningful work.
Responsibilities
Create individualized treatment plans that support employment goals and personal development
Assess each client’s readiness for work and provide support that fits their needs
Offer hands-on vocational assistance such as job searches, interview preparation, and skill building
Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to help clients maintain employment
Connect clients with community resources, supports, and services that improve overall well-being
Work closely with the interdisciplinary ACT team to ensure coordinated, client-centered care
Travel within the service area to meet clients in the community using an agency vehicle
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation, or a related field, or 2000 hours of mental health experience
Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions or providing vocational services is preferred
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license required
