Staff Accountant

Established boutique CPA firm looking for entry level staff accountant in San Antonio, TX. 

Our firm was founded in 1981. We are a small, close-knit office of <10 people with a high-quality, diverse clientele. We provide everything from payroll and accounts payable to tax preparation and planning. We pride ourselves in offering customized approaches to each client and providing a high level service. Our computer system allows us to work from home when necessary and offer a flexible work schedule outside of tax season.

A major benefit of this position will be opportunities for hands-on training and responsibility (based on performance).

General Responsibilities:

-Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts

-File various business tax and information reports with the state and federal governments including sales tax, property tax, payroll tax, state franchise tax, and others

-Assist with updating excel spreadsheets for different accounting functions and financial statements

-Perform bank reconciliations in QuickBooks Desktop and Online 

Qualifications:

-Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Accounting 

-Strong communication skills
