Mortgage Loan Consultant Development Program - Dallas, Nashville, Tampa, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Sacramento

Overview
Do you have a drive to help others, communicate with a diverse cross-section of customers, and make over 6-figures in your first year out of college at one of the largest, most successful mortgage companies in the nation? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We will teach you how to consult and guide customers to secure their first home loan, obtain a new home loan, or refinance an existing mortgage. Here are some details about our program: 

12-week classroom-style training program:
  • 6 weeks studying for the NMLS Uniform State Test
  • 6 weeks of customer communication coaching, sales closing and software training
  • You’ll receive hourly compensation during training
  • All training materials and exam costs will be covered by the firm

After training you’ll move to a base salary + commission payment structure:
  • All customers are provided as warm, inbound leads. You will not be expected to cold call or generate your own leads
  • Most of our recent college graduates make well-over 6 figures in their first year

Mortgage Consultant Responsibilities:
  • Attend, participate, and contribute in all NMLS training sessions leading up to the exam
  • Complete all required curriculum modules of the College Graduate Training Program
  • Complete all assignments as an active participant, including role play, classroom sessions, interaction with existing Loan Officers and internal testing
  • Advise and educate clients on the home-buying or refinance process and how to improve their mortgage terms
  • Counsel new and existing borrowers on mortgage loan solutions  
  • Continuously increase knowledge and understanding of company services and mortgage loan products
  • Identify current customer needs and provide sound guidance for product solutions 
  • Complete a minimum of 20 hours of pre-licensure education (PE) before being able to apply for a state MLO license
  • Take and pass the NMLS Uniform State Test (UST) as a requirement for continued employment.

Our ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Degree from a 4-year accredited university majoring in Business, Economics, Selling or related field
  • Graduating between July 1, 2020 - August 31, 2021
  • Excellent communication skills combined with a strong sales disposition and a desire to help others 
  • Eager to build relationships with a diverse slate of borrowers on the phone to help secure their business 
  • A desire to compete and win in the marketplace
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment  
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Passion, great communication skills, self-motivation, positive attitude, and competitive spirit
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and sales skills with the ability to apply them over the phone
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Basic PC proficiency, with knowledge of MS Office tools
