R&D Web Software Developer for GPS/GNSS R16896

Job Description:
Web development for GSWeb and associated projects.

Job Details:
  • Develop software from design.
  • Test developed software.
  • Design server and client side software for web applications.
  • Other related functions as assigned.




Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics, or related fields
  • Demonstrated knowledge of full-stack software development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript on front-end.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (React).
  • Experience with back-end languages and frameworks, e.g., Python, SQL, Flask, Django.
  • Experience with version control systems (git).

Evidence of skills in: working with new technologies, being highly organized, planning and coordinating multiple tasks, time management, attention to detail, problem solving skills, using excellent judgment, working independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintaining a professional demeanor, working as a team member without daily supervision, and effectively communicating with diverse groups of clients.
US Citizen: Subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.




Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics, or related fields. 
  • Experience with messaging systems.
  • Three years of experience in professional software development Experience with AWS and other cloud providers (Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Immediate eligibility for access to classified information.
  • Experience with other programming languages (Java, C++).
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 with a 3.5 in major coursework.
