P/T Education Specialist (Grant Funded)

County College of Morris seeks a P/T Dover College Promise (DCP) Education Specialist, who will provide bi-lingual personal, academic, career, financial counseling, and advisement both on an individual and/or group basis at The Educational Center (TEC) and CCM. Supports and collaborates with DCP team on student success, recruitment, and retention projects. Conducts college information and preparation workshops at TEC and at CCM. Also, provides input and support into a variety of other program initiatives and events including careering seminars and/or other DPC related activities, as per Coordinator’s needs. This is a 12-month grant funded position and will report to DCP Coordinator – 24.5 hours per week.

Must have strong interpersonal skills. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate with a diverse student population, faculty, administrators, and other constituents. 
 
Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
Web conference systems experience – Zoom, WebEx, and/or Google Meets
 
Bilingual in Spanish required.

Must be able to develop activities to help recruit students and help support college readiness, student success and retention efforts. These should include recruitment, tutoring, advisement, and professional leadership. Experience working with first-generation and under served high school and/or college students is a plus.

A Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of counseling experience or related field is required. A Master’s degree in Counseling is preferred.
