Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator

The Volunteer and Outreach Coordinator is an AmeriCorps VISTA who works under the direction of the Executive Director to assist in volunteer recruitment/retention, community outreach, and clinic coordination. Additionally, this position is responsible for correspondence and planning of events related to volunteers serving at Heal the City. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·        Delivering a monthly gift to the provider, entity, or individual selected for the Volunteer of the Month honor
·        Maintaining relationships with and scheduling volunteers as needed 
·        Responsible for planning the volunteer banquet 
·        Responsible for planning a Christmas event for volunteers 
·        Sending thank you cards to active volunteers
·        Attending leadership meetings to give updates on community partners 
·        Facebook posts spotlighting community partners and volunteers 
·        Writing and updating volunteer policies 
·        Onboarding volunteers and updating manual 
·        Scanning in appropriate documents to Volgistics 
·        Making volunteer badges 
·        Creating materials for volunteers; updating website for volunteer needs
·        Updating the HTC volunteer application as needed 
·        Volunteer recruitment 
·        Other duties related volunteer retention and recruitment as assigned 
·        Tracking volunteer hours monthly and reporting on hours to the Executive Director
