Responsibilities


  • Support maritime testing and evaluation of project systems.
  • Operate or crew watercraft in support of project test and evaluation activities.
  • Manage, track, maintain, and support project systems and equipment.
  • Operate and train others on the operation of systems and equipment.
  • Support logistics for field activities, such as handling shipments or providing transportation services.
  • Other related functions as assigned.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience.
  • Maritime experience working with divers and watercraft. 
  • Experience operating and crewing watercraft. 
  • Emergency response skills appropriate for boating activities, such as medical, rescue, or similar skills. 
  • Diving experience and an understanding of military and/or industrial diving protocols. 
  • Proficient in the use of computer skills and systems. 
  • Mechanically inclined, skilled in the use of basic tools, and have basic electrical skills.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Applicant must have a dynamic skill set, willing to work with new technologies, be highly organized and capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks and managing their time. The position will require attention to detail, effective problem solving skills and excellent judgment. Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with diverse groups of clients. Able to work under pressure and accept supervision. Regular and punctual attendance.
US Citizen. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.



Preferred Qualifications


  • Licensed and/or trained to pilot watercraft at least 53 feet in length. 
  • Significant medical emergency response training similar to an emergency first responder or military corpsman. 
  • Medical training or knowledge of treatment of diving-related injuries or sickness. 
  • Experience operating forklifts, cranes or similar equipment. 
  • License or training for driving large vehicles. 
  • Navy diving experience. 
  • Experience and/or in-depth knowledge with as many of the following types of diving related topics:  Diver Propulsion Devices / Vehicles, SEAL Delivery Vehicle experience, submarine lock-out procedures, closed-circuit diving and/or Rebreathers, night diving / low-visibility diving, decompression or saturation diving, mixed gas or NITROX diving, surface-supplied diving, CPR, O2 provider, diver emergency management, use of underwater tools and equipment (including lift bags and underwater rigging), underwater photo documentation, or underwater communications. 
  • Experience maintaining, servicing, or supporting diving or expeditionary systems and equipment. 
  • Experience with military research and development of systems. 
  • Understanding of basic physics, including acoustics. 
  • Experience with sonar and underwater navigation systems. 
  • Experience supporting or managing test or quality assurance activities. 
  • Immediate or recent eligibility for access to classified information. 
  • Experience training Navy divers.
