What You’ll Do: 
Lenovo is looking for a technical expert - Solutions Architect to join our HPC & AI team supporting the Life Sciences and Bioinformatics vertical.
In this role, you'll drive solution and market development, interact with technical teams to develop and benchmark new solutions. We're looking for a self starter and creative thinker that can train sales teams, create collateral, and interact with customers. We see this role as a thought leader representing Lenovo in industry events, webinars, and in articles.
Key responsibilities:
  • Drive business strategy for HPC in Life Sciences by supporting the segment manager and sales teams with technical expertise and leadership
  • Build strong relationships with customers, actively participate in communities, and drive key partnerships for business success
  • Facilitate customer proof of concepts to demonstrate the value of AI to their particular use cases
  • Directly engaging and supporting sales and account teams and be the go-to-person for opportunities in Life Sciences segment
  • Manage solutions for complex opportunities by working with solution architects and other internal teams
  • Collaborate with management teams and product teams to influence product roadmaps, go-to-market strategy and messaging
  • Develop segment specific collateral and value proposition messages by closely working with marketing teams
  • Present at key events and drive demos, publish thought leadership articles and participate in industry councils/associations
This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the US. #LI-Remote

Basic Qualifications:
  • at least 3 years of industry experience in Life Sciences industry
  • Proficiency in HPC technologies, solutions and/or applications in Life Sciences including genomics, transcriptomics, Cryo-EM and GATK platform

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Science or Engineering, PhD is a plus.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in Life Sciences
  • Deep knowledge of genomics workflow, applications, and data management to support benchmarks and implementations.
  • Innovative and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Action-oriented and able to work independently with clear priorities in a matrix organization
  • Good presentation skills to speak at conferences, public events and conduct media interviews
  • Prior experience working with global customers and technology partners
  • Willingness to travel
