Enrollment Coordinator

Job Description

This role supports our Brooklyn schools by carrying out critical recruitment and enrollment work needed to fill out schools to capacity. The person in this role will activate their personal network and engage Brooklyn community based organizations to spread the word about our schools to potential families. They will use SchoolMint and enrollment data trackers to support families through the registration process and ensure an excellence experience in the registration process for families. 
Enrollment Support
  • Collaborate with both Enrollment and School Teams to support families through the enrollment process in SchoolMint
  • Provide families with direct support opportunities to enroll at connect with schools through school tours and other means. 
  • Responsible for using enrollment data tracking systems
Community Engagement
  • Follow marketing and outreach strategies to recruit families to apply to Uncommon Schools.
  • Coordinate outreach events with community based organizations to table ad
  • Conduct outreach calls to engage potential leads and recruit them to Uncommon schools
Qualifications

  • You enjoy finding the most compelling way to communicate to potential families 
  • You like to work both in team and individually to reach a collective goal
  • You understand metrics and how to utilize them to influence the decisions of those around you
  • Excellent organization, time management, and follow-through skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Problem solving attitude towards challenges and struggles
  • This role requires some evening and weekend work
Experience Required
  • 1-3 years of work experience required
  • Knowledge of Brooklyn community
  • Speaks fluent Spanish (Preferred) 
Travel
  • Local - meaning the role moves between offices or buildings regularly - will be on at one of our schools or at the Brooklyn Regional Office 2-3 times per week (though we are currently running all interviews remotely due to COVID until further notice).
  • Will attend outreach events in the Brooklyn Community

This role is currently a full time hourly position with flexible work hours. Uncommon Schools offer salaries commensurate with experience and a very generous benefits and vacation package.
