JOB PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for quoting and rating proposals and renewal projections and also approves cases within established authority guidelines.

REQUIRES JOB QUALIFICATIONS:   
* Bachelor's degree OR two years' experience in a group health insurance function
* Math skills including the four basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) along with the ability to estimate for mathematical reasonableness
* Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain business relationships
* Independent judgment and problem resolution skills
* Work management skills including the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time and workload to meet deadlines
* Verbal and written communication skills to include correct grammar, word choice, precision, conciseness, structure, audience appropriate tone and language
* PC proficiency to include Word and Excel

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:   
* Knowledge of health care products and covered eligibility
* Knowledge of state and federal legislation governing underwriting practices
