Job Description

The primary purpose of the Programmer Analyst is to support continuous improvement within the district by creating and supporting data systems, dashboards, and data collection and analysis protocols to ensure quality services. The Programmer Analyst will support the System of Great Schools implementation with the School Performance Framework. Additionally, this person will collaborate with district stakeholders to support evaluation and data-based decision-making in alignment with the district strategic plan.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree and four years’ related work experience OR
  • Master’s degree in math, statistics, computer science, information systems, psychology, education or related field plus two years’ related work experience

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Proficient use of spreadsheets, pivot tables, data visualization tools (i.e., Canva), statistical analysis software (i.e., SPSS), and knowledge and experience with predictive analytics (i.e.,Tableau), and computer modeling.
  • Ability to organize, manipulate, and summarize data in various formats
  • Ability to transfer (and transform) data from different platforms into usable contexts
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative evaluation and research practices.
  • Skill in gathering/organizing/analyzing/interpreting data using various statistical techniques
  • Ability to comprehend complex systems and technical information and explain effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information
  • Ability to produce, organize, and manage multiple projects and complex tasks simultaneously and independently to meet specific deadlines
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive reports, instructions, training materials, and logical documentation
  • Maintain effective working relationships with stakeholder groups that include the general public, policy makers, school administrators, teachers, parents, students, and other measurement professionals
  • Ability to perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with minimum supervision

Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in an educational setting preferred
