HR/Payroll Specialist


A very established and growing Building Materials/Construction services company, with over 160 employees in multiple locations in Texas, is looking for a highly motivated HR/Payroll Professional for a full-time position reporting to the Controller and CFO of the company. This is a role that can and will grow into a managerial role within 6-9 months as we are quickly expanding into other geographies.

Responsibilities:
- Administering and processing Bi-weekly payroll for 160+ Employees
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely employee deductions for Insurance, 401K, etc
- Maintains a good working relationship with our Healthcare providers
- Responsible for calculating monthly sales commission and other incentive programs
- Annual/Quarterly payroll tax reporting, form 941, State/Federal Unemployment, W-2, etc
- Responsible for administering unemployment claims and related filings
- On boarding of new employees, ensuring proper paperwork, I-9 verifications, etc
- Time clock Administration/Overtime Reporting to Management
- Workers compensation reporting, assisting Managers in proper accident documentation
- Assist Managers with maintaining proper OSHA logs and mandatory reporting
- Child support reporting and payments
- Hiring and recruiting other HR/Payroll direct reports

Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Administration, or related field
- 3 to 5 years of HR and Payroll Experience in a fast paced environment
- Strong Analytical/Reporting Skills
- Excellent (Advanced) knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Tests will be given on pivot tables and the ability to manage large sets of data during interviews.
- Strong Communication skills with a Process Improvement mindset
