Web Developer

Dakota State University is searching for a Web Developer. This position has responsibilities associated with managing and participating in the team responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of websites, databases, and various applications.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop, test, implement, and provide support for mission-critical websites and web applications.
  2. Provide maintenance for existing applications and websites. 
  3. Create and maintain service literature, system diagrams, knowledge base articles and documentation for assigned systems to facilitate efficient support when issues arise.
  4. Creating documentation and literature that matches system functionality and that is understandable to users. 

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or closely related.
  2. Development experience in .NET and .NET Core.
  3. Proficient in programming languages such as C# and SQL.
  4. JavaScript / jQuery experience. 
  5. Experience in API development and management.
  6. Experience in database design and management.
  7. Experience in CI/CD.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1.  Experience with JS framework like Node, Angular or React.
  2.  Experience with CMS like WordPress.
  3.  Experience developing for or basic understanding of the cloud technology (Azure or AWS).
  4.  Experience in Test Driven Development.
