Rule of Law Officer (HUM00002B

The OSCE Program Office in Bishkek is seeking a Rule of Law Officer (HUM00002B), a senior professional with a degree in law or a closely related field and 6+ years experience. The position requires: project management experience, including development, implementation and monitoring, preferably in rule of law related project activities; experience in compiling and analyzing relevant info, including complicated legal topics; knowledge of regional political developments in Central Asia; ability to establish contact and develop confident relations with civil society, to work under pressure within limited time frames, to work with government officials and institutions, including law enforcement and the judiciary; to work as a member of a team, with people of different cultures, religions, genders, and political views; cultural sensitivity and judgment. Desirable: knowledge of OSCE principles and commitments; fluency in English (both oral and written) and working knowledge of Russian; previous experience in penitentiary reform.
