Therapeutic Childcare Specialist
Helping Hand Home for Children has been serving Texas children since 1893. We work with children from a background of abuse and neglect, and our goal is to give them the tools they need to heal and ultimately thrive in a healthy family setting. We offer residential services and therapeutic foster care, and we're located in Austin's historic Hyde Park neighborhood.
The Therapeutic Childcare Specialist works to provide a stable, safe, and healing environment for the children in our care. HHH uses the TCU Trust-Based Relationship Intervention model as the foundation of our program. A paid training program is provided and we have a new hire class starting January 23rd.
This role might be a good fit for people interested in direct care, child development, trauma-informed care, mental health, attachment theory and practice, social work, relationship-based therapy, treatment planning, or life skills coaching.
