AIG Investments Front Office Rotational Analyst Program
The 2-year Investment Analyst program offers new college graduates rotations through AIG Investments’ product areas. During these rotations, the Investment Analyst will have the opportunity to expand their analytical, valuation, and presentation skills, working closely with investment managers, traders and other investments professionals. In the process, they will meet top-tier issuers and evaluate numerous headline deals. Through financial statement and fundamental analysis, the Investment Analyst learns to express credit and equity opinions and helps in the decision-making process for portfolio management, asset allocation, and market research. Ongoing feedback aids the refinement of his or her analysis. Informational interviews and ‘lunch & learn’ seminars augment financial skills, facilitate professional connections and career development.

AIG is committed to developing early career professionals. Analysts will be given the opportunity to develop valuable skills, contribute directly to their teams and gain a deeper understanding of both AIG, its insurance companies and the asset management industry. Before hitting the desk, AIG provides the incoming class of analysts with a comprehensive training program. New analysts will also be participating in a broader AIG sponsored early careers program, which will provide supplementary learning and networking opportunities for early career talent across AIG.
Assignments for rotations will be based upon the analyst’s degree, prior internship experience, the knowledge required for the role and the business needs of the various groups. During each rotation, analysts will receive regular and formal feedback from the rotation manager. Rotational Analysts have the opportunity to rotate through teams that typically include:
  • Investment Grade Debt
  • High Yield Debt
  • Sovereign & Emerging Market Debt
  • Municipal Debt
  • Securitized Products
  • Global Capital Markets
  • Commercial Real Estate Debt
  • Global Real Estate Equity
  • Residential Real Estate
  • Private Equity
  • Public Equity
  • CIO Team
  • Direct Equity & External Mandates
  • Cross-Asset Relative Value

Each analyst will be assigned a mentor during the program. Mentors will be responsible for helping new Analysts navigate the Firm and the business groups. If you were assigned a mentor as a summer intern, you will likely be assigned the same mentor as a full-time hire.
