Job Summary
Perform engineering design functions
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering design calculations and analysis.
- Prepare equipment and material purchase specifications.
- Monitor the progress of equipment and material specifications.
- Prepare commissioning test memorandums.
- Review vendor drawings and quotations.
- Review and redline drawings to ensure design adherence.
- Prepare contract bidding engineering specifications and queries
- Explore new ideas and solutions to improve current designs and work methods.
- Liaise with Commercial Department on engineering equipment and material purchases.
- Liaise with Receiving Department on tracking of engineering equipment and material purchases.
- Liaise with Production Department on design issues
- Perform receiving equipment inspections and or assign a lead engineer/draftsman to do inspections.
Experience and Knowledge Required
- Minimum of 3 years in relevant work experience in marine/offshore industry.
- Possess knowledge of functional design in respective engineering discipline.
- Possess knowledge in class regulatory requirements.
