Speech Language Pathologist/Therapist

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, development, implementation, and revision of treatment programs as necessary. You will coordinate patient care assignments to ensure continuity of care and maximum utilization of clinical/licensed supportive personnel. You will keep accurate records of the patient’s treatment, reactions and assessment of progress. The patient population is comprised of all ages, with whom you will be able to provide age-specific direct care services. You will demonstrate effective resource utilization, which is critical to operational stability within the organization.
  • You will participate in performance improvement and program growth.
  • You will participate in clinical programs and interdepartmental activities within the organization.
  • You will also function as a clinical instructor in the student affiliation program.
  • You will participate in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.

Job Qualifications

  • 4 year Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) of the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
  • Florida state licensure or eligible for placement in a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • 3-5 years of experience; will consider graduate externs or individuals seeking CFY.
  • BLS certification.
