Finance Program Coordinator

SAP Finance/Logistics Functional Support - Program Coordinator - U2334 (Unclassified)

 

Under the leadership of the Mayor and the general direction of the Chief Information Officer, the SAP Finance and Logistics (FILO) Program Coordinator will report to an SAP FILO Functional Manager. The SAP FILO Program Coordinator is responsible for managing multiple functional and technical projects within their responsible SAP module(s); communicating effectively with technical, basis, and security teams to ensure deadlines are met; working with City business process owners to assist with enhancements, design changes, or break fixes; following SAP change management processes and documentation requirements; prioritizing work based on business requirements, statutory requirements, and future business priorities; managing customer and stakeholder relationships at a project level through planning, coordinating, and plan management; ensuring appropriate user training, operations, and technical documentation is developed and maintained for all configurations in the SAP systems; and ensuring all development activities comply with the City's Department of Information Technology standards.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management and Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in the public and/or private sector that demonstrates an understanding of maintaining an Enterprise Resource Planning system.
  • Or any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates meeting the above minimum requirements.

 

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Provide functional support in multiple SAP FILO modules
  • Provide integration support between SAP FILO module and other SAP modules
  • Review and evaluate existing and proposed systems, solutions, and business processes and make recommendations for improvement in SAP FILO modules
  • Work closely with Business Process Coordinators to understand and gather business requirements; maintain SAP configurations, components, and sub-components; prepare documentation, test scripts, and functional and technical specifications
  • Conduct complex analysis and design of information technology solutions, and resolve issues within time-sensitive deadlines
  • Defines scope, requirements, specifications, and test documentation for system enhancements to meet changing business requirements
  • Assists customers with updating or creating training plans and materials for areas of responsibility
  • Continuously maintains professional skills through training classes, continuing classroom or online education, cross-training, or other methods of knowledge development
  • Stay abreast of current trends and technical advancements in the areas of SAP systems, learn the characteristics of new systems, and update skills to adapt to changing technology
  • Anticipate conditions, plan ahead, establish priorities, and meet project schedules
  • Prepare effective written and oral communications, reports, instructions, and presentations
  • Carry out additional duties as necessary

 

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to customer service delivery, public service, fiscal responsibility, and innovation in government
  • Has experience working in an SAP environment providing functional support and is familiar with one or more of the following SAP modules FI, AA, CO, AP, AR, GL, TR, Banking, PSM-GM, PSM-FM, CO, LO-IM or LO-MM
  • Demonstrated ability to:
  • Provide detailed recommendations for SAP system configuration or functionality
  • Organize and prioritize multiple assignments, using initiative to accomplish results
  • Balance competing priorities with both internally and externally imposed deadlines
  • Work independently and use critical thinking skills to accomplish project goals
  • Complete assignments with accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Present complex technical information in a simple, clear, and concise manner
  • Strong business and political acumen to work effectively with the public, external agencies and businesses, and elected officials
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to successfully interact with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Works effectively in a support team-oriented environment to promote knowledge transfer in areas driven by system integration.
