Fixture Design Engineer 

1st shift position (7:30 am to 4 pm)

Must have one year experience in Engineering field or in person internship

Position may drive personal vehicle to other facilities for meetings. Interviews will be conducted via Teams (video required).

Position will start onsite on the first day.

Test Fixture Design Engineer
Duties:
• Utilize input from PVV lab test planning and engineering design to develop test article fixture designs and hydraulic systems.
• Update and maintain part number structure for fixture assemblies
• Develop more efficient tools and processes
• Support reclaims to fixture components by assisting with or completing reclaim prints and managing reclaim process
• Maintain a part change log and BOM for each fixture assembly
• Own mechanical and hydraulic test article and engine fixtures
• Participate in fixture design reviews
• Work with contracted modelers and drafters to provide assembly prints and information for fixture and hydraulic assemblies
• Write work orders and provide instructions for fixture sub-assemblies as appropriate
• Work with test engineers and lab test technicians to coordinate fixture sub-assembly work in the assembly bays
• Provide technical expertise for fixture assemblies
• Perform fixture design activities for auxiliary fixtures, including necessary support systems for these fixtures

Requirements:
• 3D Geometry modeling
• Design related experience or projects (Creo)
• Test related experience is a plus
• 4 year degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering is preferred. Electrical or Computer Engineering is also acceptable.

Description:
 

Performs basic product design, testing and/or analysis work for a defined portion of a project. Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design reviews. Develops recommendations within established guidelines; work and decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation. 

Duties: Applies existing applications to routine problems. Produces and/or evaluates possible design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance based on specialized knowledge of engineering applications. This may include possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel. Analyzes assignments and determines engineering specifications which must be fulfilled for routine problems or projects. Compiles and furnishes necessary information (engineering decisions and reports of pertinent design analyses data) to document the design solution required for building of prototypes and adoption of the design with possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel. Learns and applies company engineering policies and practices; learns company products. Executes test or analysis plan for product verification and validation.
