Job Summary
UT Southwestern Medical Center is hiring for Grants & Contracts Specialists to join our team. We have openings in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgical Sciences, Pediatrics and more. As a Grants and Contracts professional at UT Southwestern, you will play a pivotal role in securing funding for critical research projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Pre-award and post-award administration
- Proposal development and submission
- Compliance and regulatory oversight
- Financial management of grants and contracts
The Grants and Contracts Specialist will gather and provide information regarding funding opportunities and application procedures to applicants. They provide guidance to researchers for proposal development and submission by interpreting and ensuring adherence to sponsor and university announcements and guidelines.

Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field and four (4) years experience in business or public administration with emphasis on customer service in financial or contracting position.
- Certified Research Administrator (CRA) designation preferred.
- Applicants without the stated degree, but with significant additional professional applicable experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
