Graduate Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design and prepare engineering plans for:
- Roadway geometric design for highways and metropolitan agencies,
- traffic control and construction sequencing
- stormwater management,
- signing & pavement markings, and
- roadway demolition/construction on highway rehabilitation projects utilizing State and/or Federal design standards.
- Retaining wall layout – horizontal & vertical geometry
- Design the layout, plans and profiles for public utilities on city street improvement projects utilizing applicable design standards and accepted practices.
- Prepare quantity, probable construction cost and project timeline estimates.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
- EIT license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Experience with Computer Automated Drafting, MicroStation preferred
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with Engineers, Designers, and Clients.
- Ability to work effectively on a team of engineers, technical experts, and designers, as well as working independently with little supervision.
- Possess critical thinking skills necessary to plan, conceptualize and anticipate tasks.
- Capable of recognizing conflicts and discrepancies with strong attention to detail.
