CIVIL ENGINEER - EIT
This position entails drafting and design for private land development and public works projects including site design, drainage design & analysis, water & sewer system design, roadway design and construction management. This individual will work on projects involving residential subdivisions, commercial lot development, public infrastructure projects, and a wide variety of other items.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering
- Possess Engineer-in-Training Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 0 – 5 years of experience in the Civil Engineering or Construction Industry.

- Ability to read project plans, specifications, topographic maps, diagrams, material submittals and data sheets
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D Software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience or proficiency with other technical software is a plus (GIS, EPA SWMM, Revit, etc.)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D to:
· Import and process field survey data
· Create site layouts and designs
· Create subdivision plats and other planning documents
· Create project grading plans and roadway plans.
· Design water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems
· Prepare comprehensive project plan sets
- Perform Drainage analysis, design, and reports
- Perform Water and Sewer modeling and prepare engineering design reports
- Prepare construction quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
- Prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans
- On-site Construction Management
· Review contractor submittals, pay requests, and schedules
· Daily on-site construction inspection to ensure construction is in accordance with project plans and specifications
· Facilitate and attend pre-construction meetings and progress meetings.
· Prepare daily construction logs
· Prepare as-constructed drawings for deviations from the original design.
- Potentially assist with field surveying.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position may be located in either Cheyenne, WY or Fort Collins, CO.
- Candidates will work within a professional office environment as well as outdoors in all types of weather.
- Must work well under time constraints and in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Typical work schedule is 40 hours/week. The candidate must be willing to work overtime when workload requires. Employees are paid for every hour worked.
