Quality Engineer
Position Summary:
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing all quality reports submitted to the Service Quality Department ensuring their timely delivery & completeness.
Responsibilities:
- Administrate Commercial Incident Management through ServiceNow.
- Liaison as the 1st Claim Handler for Cost of Quality and Cost Recovery processes.
- Leads the resolution of quality and design problems through disciplined problem-solving methods.
- Leads the resolution of quality and design problems dealing with the necessary departments/organizational levels internally and with Clients and/or suppliers.
- Employs statistical analysis and design of the experiment to analyze methods of inspection, testing, and product quality; evaluates records and prepares reports for management indicating results, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Organizes, performs, and coordinates audits of management systems and operational procedures throughout the Nordex O&M sites reports results, and recommends opportunities for improvement.
- Serves as the local management representative for quality to ensure compliance with ISO 9000:2000 and ISO 14000, as applicable.
- Supports safety to provide an adequate and safe working environment.
- Visits project sites, suppliers, and international support groups to facilitate the successful completion of job duties: travel requirements about 25 - 50%.
- Generates and presents periodic reports to the senior management team and customers such as Cost collection and periodical reporting.
- Participates in Cost of Energy, COE, and improvement efforts reducing the cost of turbine operations considering 20 years of operation as a life cycle.

Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s in Mechanical or electrical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 4 years of work experience
- Demonstrated ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints.
- Background in auditing, wind energy, or industrial operations preferred.
- Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other statistical analysis programs.
- Familiarity with technical standards and their application (ASTM, AWS, IEC, ISO standards).
- Must possess knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance principles.
- Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels internally and with Clients and/or suppliers.
- Professionally represent the company when dealing with Clients and/or suppliers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage several activities/projects at once, organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, and prepare plans and reports
- Follow oral and written instructions in English and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English effectively to superiors, peers, and subordinate
- Work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, and be willing and able to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
- Travel is required (up to 25% travel)
- Driving is an essential function of the job. Must possess a full valid driver’s license and be insurable under our auto insurance policy. This position will be subject to periodic driver’s abstract checks to confirm continued insurability.
