Senior Industrial Engineer, Capacity Planning

Here’s the Gist:

In this role, you will help maintain the factory capacity model to support all aspects of Wolfspeed manufacturing and business operations at our state-of-the-art fab in Marcy, NY.

The Day-to-Day

  • Develop and maintain time studies, capacity modeling, line balancing and ergonomic information to support a high-volume production line.
  • Utilize capacity model to identify bottlenecks and perform line balancing to support a high-volume production line
  • Communicate regularly with various function groups within Wolfspeed to ensure alignment and progress in industrial engineering projects.
  • Analyzes work force utilization, work center layout, material flows, production costs, process flow and production requirements to determine the most efficient utilization of personnel and equipment.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • BS degree from a four-year college/university in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in a highly automated material handling fab is necessary.
  • 3-5 years prior work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Overall knowledge of industrial engineering to support fab capacity planning, resource utilization and lean manufacturing.
  • High proficiency in the use of computer applications such as Excel, Word, AutoCAD, statistical analysis software, database creation and management. Experience with databases and data analysis tools (SQL, Access, JMP, VBA, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
  • High motivation with continuous drive for improvement.

Highly preferred skills and certifications:

  • MS degree from an accredited university in Engineering or Business.
  • 5 to 10+ years of Industrial Engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience.
  • Formal leadership experience.
  • Project Management certification

The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.

 

Compensation Range:

$82,000.00 - $112,000.00
