Project Engineer

The Project Engineer (PE) will support the Project Management team in managing active construction projects. This role involves overseeing design, fabrication, and installation teams throughout the project duration.

 

Responsibilities 

• Review and understand construction contract documents 

• Generate, track, log, and review RFI's (Request for Information) 

• Obtain, review, and document project submittals

• Review and track project ASI (Architect/Owner Instructions), and similar change documentation 

• Schedule, host, and document internal project team meetings 

• Review and coordinate shop drawings and spool sheets across internal teams 

• Complete material takeoffs and procurement logs 

• Assist PM (Project Manager) in coordination with jobsite install teams 

• Track vendor/subcontractor schedules and expedites 

• Coordinate with fabrication shop for production handoffs and RFI's 

• Gather and submit project closeout documentation 

• Support and interact with internal and external team members 

• Seek opportunities to take leadership roles in internal teams to grow capacity

 • Occasionally travel to project sites for coordination and planning purposes
