Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer for our Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice in Menlo Park, CA. In this role, you will work as part of a team to utilize your electrical engineering and consulting expertise to provide valuable contributions to our clients.

You will be responsible for

  • Performing electrical engineering analyses and consulting in the fields of electronics, power electronics, and electrical failure analysis
  • Preparing technical proposals and pursuing business development opportunities
  • Critically assessing test results, methods of analysis and testing protocols, maintaining a systematic approach to data collection and storage, and writing reports
  • Working on multiple concurrent projects as an individual contributor as well as in multidisciplinary teams

You will have the following skills and qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering preferred; a Ph.D. in a closely related field will be considered
  • Technical background in electronics, power electronics, power systems or circuit design preferred
  • Strong electrical lab skills, including working familiarity with electrical test equipment, test setup and design, and data analysis
  • Ability to convey technical conclusions to both technical and non-technical staff in engineering, business, and industry
  • Ability to support multiple group projects and market the Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice and its consulting services

Compensation

Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent.  At the Associate and Senior Associate level total compensation includes base salary, bi-weekly bonuses for high intensity efforts, annual bonus and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.

 

The base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
