Youth Mental Health Education Resource Clinician

General Description

An Educational Resource Clinician is a Non-Physician Mental Health Professional (NPMHP) that will serve as a mental health and substance use resource for school districts located in the region served by Education Service Center (ESC) region 2. Responsible for increasing awareness and understanding of mental health and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Assisting school personnel with implementing initiatives regarding these areas and ensuring local school personnel are aware of recommended best practice-based programs and other resources in the community. Facilitate trainings regarding effects of grief and trauma, substance use and abuse, intervention and prevention, and Mental Health First Aid. Must be available to deliver trainings on weekends if needed. Position will be housed at ESC 2. 

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university. Must be licensed as a LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Psychologist or Registered Nurse with degree in Psychiatric Nursing by the State of Texas. May use personal vehicle to conduct business. Must have a valid Texas driver's license at all times, liability insurance and a good driving record.

·  Possess strong Microsoft Office skills such as creating presentations, graphs, charts and variety of training material
