Mechanical Engineer, PE - Design

  • As Project Manager, manage, direct, and supervise projects to assure project conforms to contractual requirements related to time, quality, and budget. Deal directly with client to establish project schedules and expectations. Conduct site visits as needed.
  • Assist market segment manager and team leader in maintaining and developing client base through various business development efforts.
  • Assist with proposal team and team leader in preparation of RFP type proposal responses including project write ups, resumes, etc.
  • Work with Program Manager and team leader in preparation of fee proposals for division.
  • Deal directly with clients/owners to determine specific project needs.
  • Be responsible for the total mechanical systems design for specific projects.
  • Make calculations integral to the mechanical systems design.
  • Apply applicable building codes, regulations and client design standards.
  • As we grow, manage and supervise mechanical engineering staff and lead staff meetings.

Qualifications:

  • PE required in at least one of the 50 US states with the ability to obtain licensure in Texas.
  • B.S. degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 5+ years (10 preferred) experience in mechanical design and analysis for building construction projects.
  • Government, healthcare or higher education project experience a plus.
  • Must have Project Management experience.
  • Solid understanding of relevant mechanical codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering theories and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project approach and mechanical system design.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCad.
