Civil Engineer, EIT

We are currently seeking a qualified Civil Engineer who is self-motivated and ready to contribute to the future success of Morris + Associates, a Stratus owned company located in Cypress, TX.

This position will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of design projects. Morris + Associates conceive, design, supervise, infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sector, including buildings, developments, and facilities and their associated land. They are involved in projects from the earliest stages right through to completion. They work closely with project managers, consultants, architects, authorities having jurisdictions and clients of all types.

Responsibilities and Duties:
· Follows essential scope of work information in every manner necessary to clients, senior management, team members, subordinates, outside consultants, construction professionals, suppliers, and authorities having jurisdiction.
· Uses invention, imagination, originality, and talent to create detailed drawings and is capable of making changes on drawings using AutoCAD/Revit/Civil3D.
· Contributes to the project from start to finish to ensure high quality, accurate, design that follows code.
· Working with the project manager, identifies clients’ needs and aligns them with building codes, site specific issues, specific standards, guidelines and other regulations to develop feasibility reports, project schedules and write proposals.
· Communicates with the project manager assigned to the project to successfully bring projects in on time, on budget and with a quality customer experience.
· Working with the project manager, monitors and adheres to project budgets and implements change orders in a timely manner with clients.
· Working with the project manager compiles project specifications to guide the work.
· Collaborates with other team members and consultants assigned to the project.
· Travels locally, regionally, nationally or internationally as needed to perform work at project sites and meet with clients.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
1-2+ years in the field
· Proficient skills in AutoCAD, Revit and/or Civil3D
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Effective communicator with command of written, oral and presentation capabilities
· Detailed and accurate about drawings, design, regulations, billing and time keeping
· Capable of being client focused and budget focused with projects

Licenses: Preferred but not required Professional Engineer (PE)
