Laboratory Project Manager - Midland, TX

The Project Manager must be team oriented, proactive, and goal driven.  This position is responsible for coordinating and directing administrative support functions for the testing laboratory. Will use independence and judgment to recognize and resolve problems within established policies and procedures and is accountable for the quality, timeliness and accuracy of own work.

Resonsibilities:

 

  • Manage multiple client accounts/projects;
  • Review Data, Generate & send client reports;
  • Generate & Submit client invoices;
  • Generate Quotes;
  • Correspond with and assist clients via email, telephone and occasionally in person pertaining to their various analytical questions and needs;
  • Setup New Customer Accounts;
  • Setup projects for incoming samples prior to login;
  • Send weekly/monthly Accounting Transfer Files;
  • Ensure client’s needs are taken care of in a timely manner and that they are satisfied with our services;
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or GED;
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required; 
  • 5 years’ experience in working in front office of an environmental laboratory;
  • Knowledge of environmental laboratory methods of analysis
  • Ability to review and interpret environmental permits
  • Ability to review environmental reports for completeness and accuracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of environmental laboratory QA/QC
  • Knowledge of environmental test methods and their applicability
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and perform efficiently under time constraints;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and may exercise independent judgment in completing assignments;
  • Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and the Internet.

 

Education:

High school diploma or GED.

Relocation:

This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements:

This position does not require travel.

Work Schedule:

This position will work 8 hours, Monday – Friday in the Midland, TX laboratory. This position is subject to overtime availability.
